FET legal

Privacy, in clear language.

What information may be involved in FET experiences, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

This notice describes categories and choices without assuming that every feature applies to every user. Feature-specific notices, regional terms and the practices of independent sports organizations should be reviewed where they are presented.

1. Scope of this notice

This notice explains how personal information may be handled when you use the FET public website, create an account, or use a FET product experience that links to this notice. The information involved depends on the features you choose to use; not every example applies to every visitor.

A club, league, event organizer or other organization that provides a service through FET may also publish its own privacy notice. That notice explains the organization’s own practices. Feature-specific privacy information should be read together with this notice when it is presented.

2. Information you choose to provide

You may provide information directly when you register, personalize a profile, participate in a sports experience, contact support or complete a transaction. Required and optional fields should be identified in the relevant flow.

  • Account and contact details, such as your name, email address, sign-in details and account preferences.
  • Profile and sports preferences, such as favorite teams, sports, regions, language and accessibility choices.
  • Participation and content, such as votes, predictions, comments, posts, prompts, feedback and material you choose to upload.
  • Support and transaction information, such as correspondence, order details and payment confirmations. Payment card details may be handled by the payment provider identified at checkout.

3. Information collected through use

When you access a digital service, certain technical information may be collected automatically. Depending on the product and your settings, this can include device and browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate region derived from IP address, language, cookie or similar identifiers, and diagnostic logs.

Usage information can include pages or screens visited, features selected, referring links, session timestamps and interactions with content. This information helps explain how a service is used, diagnose errors and protect accounts. You can control many browser-based identifiers through your browser settings, although blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in or other functionality.

4. Information from other sources

If you choose to connect another service or participate through a sports organization, FET may receive information from that service or organization as described at the connection or registration point.

  • Sign-in or identity providers when you use an authentication option they support.
  • Clubs, leagues, event organizers or program administrators when you join an experience they operate.
  • Integration partners when you explicitly connect a third-party account, device or data source.
  • Publicly available sports or content sources when needed to provide context within a feature.

5. How information is used

Information may be used for the purposes described in the relevant product and at the time it is collected. These purposes can include:

  • Providing accounts, requested features, personalization, customer support and transaction administration.
  • Turning participation into fan insights, recommendations, search results or other requested outputs.
  • Maintaining security, preventing misuse, debugging issues and improving accessibility and performance.
  • Understanding aggregate product usage so features and content can be improved.
  • Sending service communications and, where permitted and chosen, updates or promotional communications.
  • Meeting applicable legal obligations, responding to valid requests and protecting the rights and safety of users and others.

6. AI and Fan Intelligence features

When you use an AI-enabled feature, the prompts, content and relevant context you provide may be processed to generate the response or experience you request. Fan Intelligence features may process votes, predictions, reactions or other contributions to identify patterns and produce collective insights.

Where a feature presents aggregated insights, its purpose is to communicate themes across contributions rather than to display one person’s individual view. Aggregation should not be confused with anonymity. Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information in prompts or open contributions unless the feature specifically requests it and you have chosen to provide it.

AI-generated output can be incomplete or inaccurate. It should be reviewed in context, particularly when it informs a decision. Additional information should be provided where a feature uses information in a materially different way.

7. When information may be shared

Personal information may be disclosed only in contexts relevant to the service and the choices you make. Those contexts can include:

  • With other users or the public when you intentionally post, publish or share content through a feature that explains its audience.
  • With vendors supporting hosting, security, analytics, communications, customer support or payments, according to the function they perform.
  • With a club, league, event organizer or other sports organization when you join its experience or direct FET to share information with it.
  • With professional advisers, authorities or other parties where disclosure is required or reasonably necessary to address safety, security, fraud or legal obligations.
  • With a successor or relevant adviser in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization or transfer of service assets, subject to applicable requirements.

8. Retention and security

Information should be kept for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, safety, dispute-resolution or legal purposes. Retention can vary by information type, account status, feature settings and applicable obligations. When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted, de-identified or securely isolated as appropriate.

Security measures should be selected according to the nature of the information and the service. No online transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a strong, unique password, protect sign-in links or codes, and report suspected unauthorized account activity through the official support channel.

9. Information across borders

FET experiences and their supporting infrastructure may involve processing information in countries other than the one where you live. Where cross-border transfers are subject to specific legal requirements, the applicable safeguards and information should be provided for the relevant service.

Regional or product-specific notices may contain additional details about local processing and transfer arrangements.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the service you use, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have a right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights can be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

You can manage available profile and communication preferences through product controls. Marketing messages should include a way to opt out. Browser and device settings can control certain cookies, storage and permissions.

To make a privacy request, use the official privacy or support channel presented in the FET product or account flow you use. Describe the request and include the email associated with the account, if any. FET may need to verify that the request relates to you. You may also raise a concern with the relevant local authority where applicable.

11. Children and age eligibility

Age eligibility and any parent or guardian consent requirements should be stated in the applicable sign-up or program flow. Parents and guardians should review those requirements before a child participates.

If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that is inconsistent with the relevant eligibility or consent requirements, contact FET through the official support or privacy channel with enough information to assess the concern.

12. Updates and contact

This notice may be revised as features or information practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current published version. Where a change requires additional notice, it should be provided through an appropriate product or communication channel.

For privacy questions or requests, use the official privacy or support channel associated with the FET service you are using. For the rules that govern use of the service, read the Terms of Use.
